Ministry Agreement

Ministers are asked to serve a minimum of one mass every month. This varies with ministry.
■ Ministers over the age of 18 and who work with children are required to attend a Safe Environment Training Class to start, and recurring every 5 years.
■ Ministers will be given the opportunity to indicate to the Ministry Coordinator their preferred mass times.
■ If the Minister does not wish to be scheduled for certain dates, they are responsible for informing the Ministry Coordinator before the schedule is published.
■ If a Minister cannot fulfill their assignment, the minister is responsible for finding a substitute and informing the Director of Liturgy
■ Ministers MUST arrive no less than 15 minutes before Mass ..
■ Ministers may also be invited to serve for special services, such as during Holy Week or at Confirmation, weddings, or funerals
■ Minister's dress is to be modest. NO jeans, shorts, clothes with large logos, short skirts and or dresses, revealing clothing, low necklines, tight fitting clothes, and or tennis shoes.
■ A Minister may be asked to leave the ministry if they accumulate an excessive number of unexcused absences; fails to comply with requests from coordinators, Liturgy Department or priests; or is no longer in communion with the Church.
■ Ministers for mandation publicly affirm all the teachings of the Catholic Church, and if married, the marriage must be valid according to canon law.
